Rosarium

Rosarium is a concert inspired by a contemporary understanding of the life of Christ. The narration is a selection from Franz Biber’s Rosary Sonatas fused with songs drawn from Iranian and global folk music.

Rosarium is composed of two interwoven yet distinct segments, that together form a unified whole. The first segment features selections from Franz Biber’s Rosary Sonatas for violin and harpsichord, while the second presents song collages drawn from Iranian and global folk music. They collectively narrate a singular story: the life of Christ told across two eras — the past and the present. This performance reflects on the enduring human struggle for peace and freedom.
