Medea
Medea started in August 2010 and ended in June 2012. It took the stage three times, the first of which was in June 2011 in the 13th Students Festival. After that, Medea was performed in February 2012 in The 30th International Fadjr Festival, and finally, there was a public performance in June of 2012. Coming up with a new technique of theatrical performance germane to the cultures and ethnicities endemic to Iran was the main concern of the group. Working through regional Iranian music and ceremonies, Beyn researched and practiced an approach to synthesize the dramatic text of Medea with folk music. In particular, Kurdish lullabies and mourning songs, in addition to the Zaar ancient ceremony of the South, were adopted and developed for the play.
