Title: About the quality of failure
Unkempt thoughts on developing a career, education, cultural activities: Living as a composer/musician in Europe today
Description: The lecture had two parts. In the first part Renald Deppe talked about the circumstances and history of musician’s lives in Europe from middle ages to 20th century. In the second part he talked about studying music in Europe and the circumstances and the career of musicians in presence.
Wednesday 7th September 10:00-12:00 Lecture (Johannes Kretz):
Title: „Live-Electronics composition performance and improvisation with Max/MSP and various controllers “
Description: In this lecture Johannes Kretz talked in detail about several digital audio workstation softwares (DAWs) and programming environments to produce electronic music. At the end he showed the possibilities of programming software Max/MSP to compose and control the electronic music.

Title: „An Introduction to Computer-Aided Composition and Artificial Intelligence for Music Applications “
Description: In this lecture, Kretz talked about using computers to compose electronic music in various ways, from using algorithms for music analysis of sound in different ways.

The Contemporary Music Circle was established in the autumn of 2015 at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, with a focus on presenting and promoting contemporary approaches to music.
The Center’s core objectives include:
Exploring and introducing new musical perspectives from Iran and around the world through performances and academic gatherings;
Enhancing both general and specialized knowledge in the field of contemporary music by organizing educational workshops, publishing articles, and establishing a specialized library.
Supporting composers and artists active in the realm of contemporary music through the Center’s ongoing programs and collaborations with international cultural and artistic institutions;
Creating opportunities for the exchange of ideas and experiences among artists working in this domain
